Times Tables Practice for Schools and Teachers

RoarMath is a free times tables and division app for Key Stage 2. It gets pupils ready for the Year 4 Multiplication Tables Check with short, timed daily practice that keeps pulling weak facts back until recall is instant.

Why teachers use RoarMath

Built around the MTC

Jungle Checkpoint mirrors the Year 4 Multiplication Tables Check: 25 questions, six seconds each, multiplication only. Pupils practise in the same shape as the real thing.

A fluency heatmap for every fact

Every fact from 1×1 to 12×12 is coloured by speed and accuracy. Green means instant recall, red means it needs work, so you can see where the next ten minutes should go.

Targets weak facts automatically

Answers are timed to the tenth of a second. Slow or wrong facts come back in the next session, and Tiger's Den spends a full minute on the facts a pupil keeps missing.

Division as well as multiplication

Each times table is practised back as its matching division facts, so pupils build the inverse relationship and not only the chant.

Safe for the classroom

Free, with no adverts, no in-app purchases and no third-party trackers. The whole app plays without an account; signing in is optional.

Accessible by design

Larger text, a colour-blind-safe heatmap, a reduce-motion setting and separate sound and vibration switches are all built in.

Using RoarMath in class and at home

  1. Share the app with families. It is free on iOS and Android, and no account is needed to start.
  2. Ask pupils for a few minutes a day. Short daily practice beats one long session a week.
  3. Run a Jungle Checkpoint before the MTC window so the six-second format is familiar.
  4. Use the fluency heatmap to spot which tables need whole-class work.
