RoarMath is used by children, so we collect as little as we can, explain it plainly, and delete it whenever you ask.

01. Who we are

RoarMath is a multiplication and division practice app for children, made by Agile Cyber Solutions Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales.

If you want anything on this page explained, or you want your data deleted, email support@roarmath.com and a person will answer.

02. What we collect

Only what the app needs to work:

Practice data. The questions answered, whether each was right, and how long each took. This is what the heatmap, the ranks and the trail are built from.
A display name and picture you choose. Made up in the app. We suggest using a first name or a nickname, not a full name.
An email address, only if you sign in. Signing in is optional and exists so progress survives a lost or replaced device. Skip it and everything stays on the device.
Basic device information. Device type, operating system, app version, and crash reports, so we can fix faults.
Anything you write to us. If you use the contact form or email us, we keep the message so we can reply.

We do not collect location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera data. We do not show adverts, and we do not sell anything about anyone, ever.

03. Why we use it

To run the app, show a child their own progress, place scores on leaderboards, keep the app working, and answer messages. That is the whole list.

For readers in the UK and EU: our legal basis is performing the contract of providing the app, and our legitimate interest in keeping it working and safe. Where consent is needed, we ask for it and you can withdraw it at any time.

04. Children

The app is built for children, so we hold it to a higher standard than the law alone would require. No advertising. No profiling. No selling data. No messaging between players, so nobody can contact a child through RoarMath.

Scores and a chosen display name are visible to other players on leaderboards and in versus rooms. That is why the app asks for a nickname rather than a real name.

A parent or guardian can ask us to show, correct or delete everything we hold about their child, at any time, by emailing support@roarmath.com. We do not need a reason and we will not make it difficult.

05. Who else sees it

We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing.

A small number of suppliers process data so the app can run, for example hosting, crash reporting and email delivery. They act on our instructions, may only use the data to provide their service, and are bound by contract. Some are outside the UK and EU, and where that is so the transfer is covered by the safeguards the law requires.

We would also disclose information if the law required it of us.

06. How long we keep it

Practice data, for as long as the account is in use.
Deleted accounts, removed within 30 days, and from backups within 90 days.
Crash and diagnostic logs, up to 90 days.
Messages you send us, up to two years, so we have context if you write again.

07. Your rights

You can ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, delete it, or send you a copy to take elsewhere. You can object to how we use it, and withdraw consent where you gave it.

Email support@roarmath.com. We reply within 30 days. There is no charge.

If you are unhappy with our answer, you can complain to your data protection regulator. In the UK that is the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

08. Security and cookies

Data is encrypted in transit, access is limited to the people who need it, and we review who has access. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat children’s data as the most sensitive thing we hold.

This website uses only the cookies needed to make it work. There are no advertising or tracking cookies, and the app itself does not use cookies at all.

09. Changes, and getting in touch

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page, and for anything significant we will say so in the app before it takes effect.
